Adam is a junior accountant with scheduled laundry days, and spends his time doing spreadsheets in an empty apartment. Leslie is an assistant manager with no time to spare, and no alone time to do it in. A laundry mishap leads these two to each other, and a rent increase in their building pushes them to become roommates. Although awkward at first, the two quickly become best friends. Their mostly contrasting personalities meld rather than clash, and work to compliment each other. Both have their troubled pasts, leaving them with leftover problems in the present. Though it takes them a while to confide in each other, they find that they really do help each other. The issues only lead to them growing closer as the months go by. Pretty soon, they both realize that something more might be blossoming between them, something that wasn't in their apartment contract. Neither of them wanting to ruin their near-perfect friendship, talk of feelings is slow to come by. However, once feelings are confirmed to be mutual, they realize how much better they are together, almost as though they were made for each other. The two go through the ups and downs of relationships, sprinkled with more issues from the past. Their relationship started impulsively and a little backwards, and they continue the pattern throughout their entire story.
